Topic:

Gina King from Identity Theft 911 will present on Identity Theft and Data Breach. The two-hour program focuses on providing a general knowledge of identity theft and data breach, state and federal legislation, compliance programs, managing the crisis, and then controlling the damages once the breach takes place. Data breach facts will be reviewed and specific examples of the most recent breaches that have taken place will be detailed. Prevention options will be discussed. Security and Privacy Insurance (Cyber Risk) analysis will be reviewed. Clearly, the occurrences of data breach and their costs to businesses have been on the rise. Add to the monetary risks, the possibility of:

  • Regulatory sanctions
  • Civil litigation
  • A damaged reputation
  • Loss of business

Speaker Bio:

Gina King has over 18 years of experience with extensive fraud and Identity Theft resolution. She has spent over 9 years with Identity Theft 911. Currently she works directly with partner institutions as a Client Relations Manager and as a Training Specialist. Prior to that she spent 5 years as Manager of Fraud Operations, where she managed our Fraud Specialists in the Identity Theft Resolution Center. She previously spent over eight years at TransUnion, where she worked directly with consumers and victims in the Fraud Victim Assistance Department. At TransUnion, she also managed a group of investigators targeting credit repair companies and non-permissible activity by TransUnion client companies and consumers.

Gina is a recognized instructor for the Identity Theft and Data Protection Continuing Education Course for insurance professionals designed by Identity Theft 911. She conducts training for institutions that offer the Life Stages and Commercial Breach programs through Identity Theft 911 and has conducted POST trainings for law enforcement officials throughout California.

Gina is also an active member and President on the board of the Arizona chapter of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI) and an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
