CPCU Good Works: 2018 Meals from the Heartland

August 31 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Register on Eventbrite

We will be packaging food for the annual Meals from the Heartland event from 1-3pm on Friday, August 31. Parking is free in the lots north of the Iowa Events Center. Our group will meet inside the northwest doors of the Veterans Memorial Auditorium at 12:45pm and walk over to the packaging event. We will distribute t-shirts at this time if you’d like to change for the packing event. If you received a shirt last year, please wear it again this year.

In case you are not familiar with this cause, Meals from the Heartland is a wonderful non-profit organization founded locally in September 2008. The goal of this organization is to package meals for delivery to starving people around the world. And there’s a big chance that the organization will package its 100 millionth meal sometime during this year’s fight!

Did you know that 18,000 children die each day from hunger-related causes? Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time to help make a difference. Get to know your colleagues on a whole new level! If you are willing and able to assist with this project, we guarantee you will not be disappointed. Please join us for a fun and rewarding experience!
