DiAnna Taylor, CPCU
DiAnna Taylor is Associate Vice President of Agribusiness sales for the Western Region. Prior to this, Di served as Vice President of Underwriting overseeing Compliance, Quality Control, Training, and Process/Knowledge Management for Personal Lines Underwriting and Small Commercial Underwriting for the Direct, Exclusive, and Independent Channel Distributions for Nationwide Insurance. Prior to that, she served as Vice President, Sales, for Allied Insurance.
Di has held various other roles during her 19 years in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Nationwide, Di worked in Bloomington, IL handling claims for State Farm. She joined the Nationwide companies in 2000 and began working in property claims. She has held positions in both personal lines and commercial lines underwriting. In addition to that, she has held roles as a territory sales manager, and Sales AVP for Allied Insurance.
Di is a CPCU, and in 2014, she completed the Executive MBA program at the University of Iowa; she has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Central College, Pella, Iowa. Di grew up on a farm in southern Iowa where her family still actively farms. Di is active in her community; she’s previously served six years on The Young Women’s Resource Center” Board. She is currently a board member and Tournament Director their hometown youth competitive softball teams. Di is also the “All Women’s Associate Resource Group” leader for over 700 women in the Des Moines Nationwide location. She is an avid reader and in her spare time likes spinning/biking and golfing with her husband. Di is married and has a 13-year-old daughter in Junior High.
Tanya R. Wentzel, CPCU, CIC, AU
After graduating from The University of Iowa, Tanya began her career at EMC Insurance Companies as a Property/ Casualty Claims Representative and then a Commercial Underwriter. An opportunity to gain agency experience presented itself a few years later, and she spent time at Marsh, Inc. and LaMair-Mulock-Condon Co., as an Account Manager. In 2003, she returned to EMC, spending time in both the home office and Des Moines Branch marketing departments. In August, 2014, she became the Personal Lines Operations Manager for EMC.
Tanya received her master's degree from Drake University in 2002, and has obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting designation (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, the Associate in Underwriting designation (AU), the Commercial Insurance Service Representative designation (CISR) and completed the INS series.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending sports events, and spending time with family and friends. She is married and has two sons, Gabe (9) and Luke (7).

Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc.
Fourth generation insurance in Des Moines, Iowa. Started in insurance in 1981 with the family owned agency named J. Gottlieb and Son. Duties included Production, Secretary and Treasurer. Sold the agency to Holmes Murphy and Associates in 1990 and assumed the role of Account Executive. Left Holmes Murphy in 1999 and joined the Grandy Pratt agency out of Sioux City, Iowa as a Principle. Opened up the West Des Moines location for Grandy Pratt under the name of Grandy Pratt McCoy Rosenberg and Associates (GPMR). Became a merger partner with Arthur J. Gallagher in 2002 and assumed the role of Area Vice President/Account Executive. Kent was promoted to the Iowa Area Chairman in 2005 with responsibility for the Iowa offices.
In January of 2017 Kent relinquished Iowa Leadership and stepped back into a production role along with assisting AJG Iowa’s growth any way possible. Charter Property Casualty Underwriter Degree October, 1989. University of Iowa 1979 – Liberal Arts BGS Degree.
